Author and journalist Shila Behjat reads from her essay entitled “Söhne großziehen als Feministin. Ein Streitgespräch mit mir selbst” on the challenges of raising sons as a feminist. Shila Behjat is fighting for a world where men are no longer the measure of all things. A mother of 2 sons, she wonders how to reconcile feminism with raising sons and what role mothers play in raising the men of tomorrow. In a personal and incredibly touching way, Behjat uses everyday situations to explain how life with 2 adolescent boys has changed her feminist attitude and locates her experience in the current discourse. A constructive, self-critical and moving book about love and doubt, about motherhood and fear, which not only concerns parents, but society as a whole.
